October 7, 2024, Hong Kong/Zurich – WISER, a China-based cross-border investment advisory firm(“WISER”), and Falco Global Partners AG, an investment management firm co-founded by former General Electric (GE) executives and investment professionals(“Falco”), recently announced the signing of an agreement to establish a joint venture company in Hong Kong with a local office in Guangzhou, to jointly explore the growing opportunities from Chinese companies's "Going-global" and cross-border investments.
The newly established joint venture, WISER Falco Limited, will combine WISER's local knowledge in the Chinese market with Falco's global resources and experience to provide Chinese customers with cross-border investment, M&A and operational management services. Previously, Falco has a set-up in Singapore and launched a 1 billion EUR buyout fund, Protection Fund, and initiated the creation of a 1 billion US dollar Agricultural & Food Tech investment fund with the Indonesian government. This time, the two parties will combine their respective resources in Asia and China, starting from Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, to further promote collaborative opportunities with Chinese companies and investment institutions.

WISER team has long-experience in serving Nordic and Chinese listed companies, while the Falco team has extensive experience in corporate operational management, M&A, restructuring, and investment management, including many Fortune 500 executives and fund management team with first-class alternative asset management expertise. In addition to serving as directors/chairmen/advisors in many multinational companies, Falco team members have initiated and established five private equity funds in the past (ranging in size from 500 million to 10 billion EUR), and have used their professional knowledge to represent many European medium and large funds in the management of invested companies. The establishment of WISER Falco will provide a unique combination of investment and operational management practices for Chinese companies' global expansion, which is also an important feature that distinguishes it from many traditional institutions.
