NEXT Biometrics (NEXT), a leading provider of advanced thermal sensor technology, confirms a NOK 6 million initial purchase order from a leading Point-of-Sale (POS) hardware manufacturer based in China. The order is scheduled to be shipped in 2024.
The customer, a key player in the Chinese POS terminal market, will integrate NEXT’s advanced technology into its product targeting the growing L1 fingerprint ID market in India. These POS devices print paper receipts for purchases of multiple types of products and goods such as SIM cards, grains etc in physical offices such as banks and retail shops which have authenticated the transaction through the Aadhaar ecosystem. We expect the market for such devices in India to exhibit strong growth in the coming years.
